DIY Baby Skin Cream and Diaper Rash Cream

You love your baby and want the best for them.  Don’t put toxic baby lotion or diaper cream on them.  Not all baby products are good for your baby’s skin, in fact, many of them are toxic. Make sure when you purchase skin care products for your baby to read labels.  If you really want to make sure the ingredients are good for baby, then make your own!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup coconut oil

3/4 cup shea butter

3 drops tea tree essential oil

5 drops lavender essential oil

If possible, use organic ingredients.  In a bowl, whip coconut oil and shea butter for one minute.  Scrape down sides.  Add three drops tea tree essential oil and 5 drops lavender essential oil.  Whip for one minute more.  Put into container.  Use sparingly on baby, a little goes a long way.

This skin-safe cream can also be used on children and adults.  Please test a small area first and observe for any allergic reaction.  I use this on the fine lines on my face and on my hands to soothe my dry skin.  You can put a little under your nose at night to help you fall asleep because lavender essential oil helps to calm and relax you so you can get a good night’s sleep.

I hope you try this DIY Baby Skin Cream and Diaper Rash Cream Recipe.  You can even give this as a gift to a new mama and her baby!

Calendula oil is also wonderful to add to this mix, helps with healing. We use a coconut oil/ calendula oil blend, & call it CC cream. LOL
